p>Project Templates for SharePoint 2013 (Microsoft Office Developer Tools for Visual Studio 2012) does not comes pre-packaged as a part of Visual Studio 2012. These templates has to be downloaded and installed separately.

The downloaded installer requires Microsoft Web Platform Installer 4.0 to download and install SharePoint 2013 project templates. If Web Platform installer is not already installed, this installer will take care of that part by automatically downloading and installing it.
